Kalabash Apartments, located in Sovata, awaits guests with seven separate, winterised cottages. In the complex, a heated outdoor swimming pool and a saltwater tub serves the guests’ relaxation. There is a separate entertainment building with darts and table tennis. It can accommodate up to 40 people, therefore it is also suitable for holding events, presentations, team buildings, and other group activities.

Nostalgia Train, Sovata:
The train called 'Mocanica' makes the route between Sovata and Vármezõ three times a day.
The small train driven by a coal-powered locomotive on this section of the route, as it is whirling and whistling along of the countryside, is a real tourist attraction for the pleasure of all people.
On the train the guide gives you a ticket and warns you of approaching or leaving the railway stations. The passengers have an open and a closed wagon with wooden seats.
At the terminal the locomotive is unplugged from the front and reconnected to the rear of the train; it is ready to go back on its way!
Adrenalin Adventure Park, Sovata:
The adventure park was built in Sovata in 2012 in a picturesque setting beside Lake Tivoli. It is waiting for those who wants to spend their free time in a natural environment.
The Adrenalin Adventure Park started with 2 children and 2 adult zip line cables witch consisting of a total of 42 items, including a nearly 400 meters of Tyrolean zip line cables where can be experienced a glide over the lake. It is offers an exciting fun for children as well as for adults.
Belvedere Tower, Sovata:
The gazebo was opened in 2016 to admire the beauty of the surrounding landscape.
The facility can be visited between 13:00 and 20:00. The Tower is 28 meters high, three-storey terrace structured with a maximum 26 meters viewpoint.
It is located near the town, easy reach with short walk from Gera creek via Fülemüle street towards to Rigo Lake.
The Salt’s Way Nature trail:
Through the nature trail with resting places, viewpoints and information boards the salty lakes (Bear Lake, Mogyórosi Lake, Rigó-, Green and the Red Lakes) and the freshwater lakes (Piroska and Kígyós Lakes) in the Sóspatak Valley and the conservation of the beech-oak forests formed on the salt rocks can be viewed by those who interested.
The well-built nearly 1 km long route which is a real relaxation in a pleasant environment starts from the west part of the Bear Lake at 514 m above see level and reach 525 m.

Salt mine, Praid:
One of the most spectacular sights in the area is the salt mine and the salt gorge near the village, which remind us of a lunar landscape.
The salt area around Praid hides one of Europe's largest underground salt reserve.
The salt mining which can be tracked back to the Roman times was one of the foundations of Transylvania's wealth in the Middle Ages. Unique composition of its healing effects the white gold has been used for treatments of several health problems since the middle of the last century beside of the gastronomy usage.
The Healing Center located on one of the extraction level has a huge popularity.
The touristic center has been continuously developed since 1990s provides a rich array of entertainment.
There are adventure parks in the mine with light and ventilation system, playgrounds, sculptors and painter camps and they even celebrate ecumenical worship in the chapel built here.
Since 2009 there is a restaurant here where you can taste the local delicacies and the wine lovers can get acquainted with the different wine varieties of this area.
In the area of Praid the salt is dazzled by so many natural wonders, salt karst phenomenon, natural waterhole, form of salt-bloom.
The salt rocks are snow white in the dry weather and they are changing colors to gray if it is raining.
The most spectacular shapes can be found one kilometer south from the village in the area of the Salt Gorge.
Beak Lake, Sovata:
Bear Lake is the largest lake in Sovata. It was named for its bear-like shape and was formed around 1870 and 1880. It has an estimated 66 000 tones of dissolved salt. Its temperature is increasing down from the surface, which is caused by the heat of the sun and the high concentration of the salt in the lower part of the water.
It is famous for its therapeutic effect which is used mainly for gynecological problems, infertility, locomotor disorders and neurological problems.
Other salt water lakes in the area are Mogyorósi Lake, Rigó Lake, Black Lake, Red Lake and Green Lake and two freshwater lakes Piroska and Kígyós Lake.
The Sóköze is a salt rock area rich in salt pits, streching from the north-eastern end of the town where the salt rocks sometimes are forms 15-20 m high. Old times these salt rocks were guarded by soldiers.
